Jonathan Yarwood –
Originally from England, Jonathan moved over to the states and the David Leadbetter academy through IMG in 1996 after a short stint for them at Mount Juliet in Ireland. A British PGA Class A pro, Jonathan had the pleasure of working with a variety of touring professionals before joining DLGA. After nine years as a Leadbetter instructor, Jonathan has branched out on his own. He travels extensively with his stable of players whom include 2005 US Open Champion, Michael Campbell.
Over the years, Jonathan has gone out of his way to observe and learn from the best in order to create a holistic approach to the game and his teaching. He has spent many, many hours watching David Leadbetters’ lessons, in person, observingDavid working with some of his finest clients including Ernie Els, Charles Howell, Lee Westwood, Nick Price and many more. During these periods, which is on-going, Jonathan has a chance to quiz and learn from the David in order to improve his own teaching.
He has also observed and aided Scotty Cameron, spent time with Bob Vokey on wedges and spent time through clients listening too and watching Psychologists Bob Rotella and Jos Vastiput. These insight into all aspects of the game has helped Jonathan add many strings to his bow. Jonathan has mutiple TV appearances to his name along with a multitude of magazine article around the world in various publications.
His track record speaks for itself. One US Open Champion, one US Amateur Champion, Two US Girls Champions, four US #1 Juniors, Three AJGA players of the year, thirty one all americans, the list goes on.
But Jonathan continues to have a thirst for knowledge and to enjoy helping people of all levels to improve their games, amateur and Professional alike.
