HIs name was Freddy ‘Hips’ Jurgensen. Freddy was the best golf coach to ever hold the position at Deer Valley, having played professional golf himself for some 30 years. He played against the likes of Jimmy Demerit, Sam Snead, Ben Hogan and Bubba Watson. Freddy also holds the record for most seasons on tour without winning a dime in prize money. He also earned the distinction of being the only pro who could out-party Tony Lema, out-dress Doug Sanders and out-swear Tommy Bolt.
