Do you mean pre-shot or during the swing? Obviously everyone is going to tell you to get lessons, so that’s a given.

Regarding the pre-swing:
1. Make sure your grip is correct.
2. Check your alignment (club-face, feet, hips, shoulders) – VERY important.
3. Make sure the ball is positioned properly, and that your stance is correct.
4. Develop a pre-shot routine, it will help calm you when you’re on the course.
5. Learn course-management — this is VERY important and will reduce your score.

During the swing:
1. Stay fluid and natural — you shouldn’t be tense at any point during the swing.
2. Balance is key throughout the swing. Loss of balance indicates an error in swing.
3. Focus on proper technique (that your pro teaches you), don’t try killing the ball.
4. Stay in the moment. Don’t stress out — just focus on one shot at a time.
5. Practice ‘awareness’ when swinging. Be aware of how your body feels during a shot. Be in tune to how your body feels during the swing especially if you have a good shot.

How about one?
Tempo, the less you think about when you swing the better.
