How to Improve Golf Flexibility

As golf fitness has taken over on all professional tours, more and more people are looking for ways to improve their game. When most people think of golf fitness, they usually think of weight lifting or some kind of strength resistance training. The single most important golf fitness factor for your golf performance, in terms of your golf swing, is flexibility. The less golf fitness stretching exercises you do, the less flexibility you have. This will mean that you will not be able to play to your potential. Not knowing the proper golf stretches and lack of flexibility can keep the games of many players from ever reaching their full potential. Not just for casual players but on all levels.

To improve golf flexibility, you don’t need equipment breakthroughs, high-tech flying golf balls, expensive lessons or electrically charged bracelets. Nothing can ever take the place of what a proper golf fitness stretching exercise program can do. With the proper golf stretching exercises, it becomes easier for your body to turn and it as a result, your golf swing becomes the better, more powerful, and moves with better fluidity. Moving the club head over a greater distance allows for the generation of more club head speed, hence more distance on the ball. Flexibility and not strength, effectively affects and improves club head speed. But what should an ideal golf flexibility program consist of?

It must offer several golf fitness program variations. It should have a long version for regular training days and a short version for Pre-Golf stretching and casual players. A few variations with the large exercise ball should also be included, this extremely important for the golfer,   along with a couple of club stretches to do just before tee-off.

It must be able to stimulate modern techniques as well as traditional ones. There are certain techniques that have only been developed as technology has improved but there are also sure-fire, traditional flexibility exercises that has stood the test of time. It is important to have a little bit of both so a golfer can choose what fits him or her best.

It must incorporate all the movements and motions that are used within a golf swing. Remember that almost all the movements in the golf swing require flexibility. The program should include all muscles that need improvement in flexibility. Needless exercise on muscles you won’t be using will be a waste of time as well as disruption to your balance.

It must directly impact your golf game and your golf swing.  After the program, you should be able to feel a difference in your game. Improved flexibility should be applied in your golf game or else all that training will be for nothing.

Playing golf is not that easy as it seems. It needs
practice, discipline, and fitness training. You don’t need to have a world class golf
clubs to have your best shot in a golf game. What you need is proper training that will enhance your golf skills. Visit yourgolffitness.com
