Conforming golf clubs for Amateur Public Links?
iam qualifying for the 2010 us public links champiosnhip and i need to no if my clubs conform with the new groove rule.
Driver= Taylormade r7 HT
Hybrid= Titleist 909 H
Irons= Callaway X Forged (2008 set)
Wedges= Taylormade rac wedges
Putter= Scotty Cameron Newport 2.0
Yeah, you’re fine. Plus, nobody is going to be checking out your clubs anyway. You could easily play uncorforming clubs and get away with it. Not that I’m condoning cheating. Good luck. I played in the public links championship in 2001. It’s an awesome experience if you’re good enough to qualify. But it won’t be easy. But typically in the public links qualifiers, they don’t set the course up ultra hard. But it will take several under par for 36 holes.
