Buying golf clubs online…?
i’m 14 (will be 15 in june) and i’m in my high school golf team…i want to buy new golf clubs online (Srixon ones) but the problem is that i don’t know what loft and the driver degree’s mean…
my current clubs were “handed down” to me by a semi-pro golfer from houston and i don’t know the lofts and stuff on those clubs….
Help!
my handicap is 2
There are two ways the ball gets in the air. One is the loft on the club. The other is the backspin which causes aerodynamic lift. A person who hits the ball very fast can use a lower loft on their driver because they will have more backspin. If you create too much lift though the ball goes too high so there is a limit. You are a good golfer (based on your handicap). Talk to your coach, go to a local shop and hit some different drivers with different lofts. If you take a lot of time at your local shop you should buy your clubs there. I got a custome driver at a local golf shop, but I got my irons online.
